Ewald v Vuuren, a creative mind, inspired to design. 

 

Managing partner, Senior Graphic Designer, Artist and Vector Illustrator at Qpix Design Studio, Ewald is dedicated, driven, passionate and determined to be successful. He prides himself on his work ethics and the ability to work in a team. Always delivering on time. Never missing that crucial deadline. Ewald is not shy when it comes to exploring new ideas and innovative ways to take his creativity to the next level. Hand him clay and he will scalp you something you have never seen before.

 

Ewald accumulated numerous fine art awards throughout school, leading him to NSA (the National School of Arts) and shortly after to study History of Art and Fine Arts at Alberton Hoër.  He completed his studies at 5th Dimension College and SA Printing Collage, achieving outstanding results and was awarded with a City of London Guilds Diploma with a very impressive distinction.

As a passionate and driven individual, Ewald added SA Criminal Law, Law of Criminal Procedure, Evidence, Mercantile Law and Statute Law to his education. In his free time, he pursued his love for music. Ewald can easily entertain you with a guitar, bass and/or piano. Not all once of course, unless you listen to his solo project.

 

Ewald is an Artist in its true form. Music, arts, design or illustration, there is very little he cannot do. Impressively he taught himself how to compose, write, record his own music and produce a very iconic sound in his music. Its testament to his ability to take a project, own it and craft it in his own unique way regardless of the type of “art” it may be.

CAREER:

 

 

Ewald’s career started at Kiley Baker in 2003 as DTP and Graphic Designer. In the 3 years his duties also included printing and plate making. In 2006, Ewald took on a senior position at X-sphere Marketing and Design as Senior DTP and Graphic Designer. He dedicated 10 years to X-sphere before joining forces with Qpix Design Studio in 2016 as Managing Partner, Senior Designer and Illustrator.

 

Since the relaunch of Qpix Design Studio, Ewald has played a massive roll in taking a freelance business and making it a full time design studio. Managing clients, projects and a slightly crazy team mate is not always a walk in the park, but with his positive attitude he does it all.

 

Ewald has no issue working on a Mac or PC, but he prefers his beloved Apple Mac. He easily navigating his way through Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, CorelDraw and LogicX. He is currently learning more about Ableton, Cubase, Samplertude en FL studio.

 

Boasting 15 years work experience, shows that the sky is not the limit for Ewald. He will keep growing and learning and crafting and seeking for new ways to be better.
